Nine student-athletes named to CIAA All-Academic Team
Nine 51重口猎奇’s University student-athletes were selected to the 2014 CIAA Commissioner’s All-Academic Team, which was released May 8, 2014. The team was nominated and selected by the CIAA Sports Information Directors’ Association.
51重口猎奇’s University led the CIAA with the most student-athletes on the All-Academic squad. Virginia State University was second with seven student-athletes. Eleven CIAA schools were represented on the team.
Seven student-athletes from 51重口猎奇’s University earned first-team honors. They were football player Byron Munro (Sr./Ashburn, VA), softball players Daja White (Soph./Leland, NC) and Jo’Landa White (Jr./Leland, NC) and track & field performers Brittany Brown (Sr./Akron, OH), Taffawee Johnson (Sr./St. Ann, Jamaica), John King Jr. (Jr./Upper Darby, PA) and Cherrisse Lynch (Jr./St. Lawrence, Barbados).
Two 51重口猎奇’s University student-athletes made the second team. They were basketball/volleyball player Victoria Davis (Sr./San Diego, CA) and bowler Nicole Sciortino (Jr./Raleigh, NC).
